Healthcare, a cornerstone of human well-being, has evolved dramatically with technological advances. From rudimentary records to the innovations of wearables and AI, technology offers revolutionary ways to diagnose, monitor, and intervene in real-time, affordably, and privately. Yet, a disconnect remains: many healthcare sectors lag behind in embracing these technology innovations.

The HealthComp Lab at William & Mary, directed by Prof. Zhou, aspires to bridge this gap. Our mission is to innovate cutting-edge computing technologies—from hardware and software to advanced algorithms and applications—and deploy them in healthcare research and practice. In doing so, we position healthcare research and practice at the forefront of the modern tech revolution.
